Today was a great drive up from Mijas Costa through the mountains to the town of Ronda. It is breathtaking how the buildings and bridges gave been built into the landscape. We had some very enjoyable time drinking coffee in the town square and walking down on the tracks which provide great views back on the town. A quiet day and an enjoyable one spent in the company of Pete and Pam. Last night on the local train down from Malaga to Fuengirola, I was offered a seat by a younger Spanish man which made me smile. I did not like to tell him that this old grey haired Englishman had just walked across his entire country! I said goodbye to Margita for the second time in Spain as she headed out to fly back home to Oregon. My time with her has been so special and I know we will have more adventures together over the months to come. Another train journey took us to Figureres home of Salvador Dali and his quirky museum. He really was another Spanish genius working not only on paintings but sculptures and jewellery designs. A crazy eccentric character but the world is enriched by his gifts and talents.

A short train journey from Barcelona took us up into the mountains of Montserrat and the wonderful monastery built into the mountainside. We attended the midday choir service provided by the boys choir but was somewhat disappointed that they only sang for eight minutes. I could have listened to them for an hour or so.
