Pic is the last sunset with me at Diggers.
Today was a get organised day... we had 10 artists arriving plus campers so Alix and I had to vacate the bunk house. So that was cleaned swept and all linen changed, we also swept and changed other bush huts and amongst that I made a Key Lime Pie for dessert.
Lunch was shared and then I can a couple of hours in the hammock relaxing and reading a history book about the area and how it was settled etc. fascinating reading and having seen the landscape you could seriously picture what the author was referring to. It's the sort of stuff that movies are made from.
We then saddled up some horses and I took Pluto for a last ride. With all my gear packed I was riding in shorts and sneakers. We went out to the north paddock where our mission in 45min was to locate Tom and Bunji and give them their tetanus booster vaccine. Unbelievable - Mission accomplished.
Back home for dinner and a shower, I'm staying in the main house tonight.
My flight tomorrow to Darwin has been delayed, it was delayed to 8:55pm and when I spoke to qantas I managed to move it forward to 2:30pm. Check in is at 1:30 and it sounds like Roderick is going to take me in.
