Meet Pluto. He's my new mustering horse. Rode him for the first time this morning. He was all good. I've handed Codys reins over to Dave for the next muster as he needs something super safe - which Cody is now that he has stopped bucking. Pluto was out on the last muster and is good to go. Gets a little nervous around choppers and vehicles but nothing dirty or dangerous in him. Handles a stock whip being craxked over head though. He's also smaller for me to get on and off and keen to work the stock. So watch this space for him.
The trucks are getting packed with supplies for we pull out tomorrow to head to Canteen Creek. Spend a night there then back Tuesday evening to then ride the horses out Wednesday morning - early! 40km ride, but all horses will be saddled as we are heading through brumby country and they often try stealing horses. Our horses will be hobbled at night to prevent them from straying. Looking forward to another exciting muster and trying my hand at some more stock work.
Got back from my ride on Pluto today and then took out Con another standardbred. He was great when out on his own but when another horse gets in close he paces and take a bit to hold/settle. Not quite sure the way forward here other than to keep trying and hopefully he will settle for the trekking side of Diggers.
Tried watching a little AFL this afternoon, I have to say I fell asleep... must have needed it. Got some washing done and then we headed black out to Yarrabah to try picking up the big trailer again. This is the fourth attempt to bring it back and we were finally successful. Managed to swap tyres around with a bit of Aussie treatment. 1.5hrs to tow it back. Arrived back in the dark to a fire roaring and a roast for dinner.
Ok update is I'm staying at the station tomorrow. There are plenty of hands to setup camp and fix up the yards etc. I will stay at the station and continue working Pluto and the Standardbreds.

Debbie Ummm what’s on your head? lol. Photo not great but looks to be a cross between cowboy hat and cross country helmet. Please tell me your not wearing them together!!! Pluto is grey! Has to be a favourite then.
Chrissy Sounds wonderful! If you see the brumbies, take some photos. Have a great day tomorrow!
