Pic of this morning as we drove to Kununurra with a massive bush fire right up to the main road. Crazy heat as we drove past.
The last morning at Diggers... slept really well. Finished reading the history book before sunrise. Got up and it all felt odd. Never like saying goodbye at the best of times. Many memories have been made here, some absolute gems of people. I got to pray for Netty and Alix before I left, lots of hugs and a few tears with Alida. It really was a blessing to be in this part of the country with some truely remarkable people.
Drove into town with Roderick and the first stop was fine diamonds, home of the pink and the more rare blue diamonds. I saved my money and left them all there. What I could afford was hardly visable nor hardly pink. To do what I was looking at I would need to increase my budget significantly. Still the idea is there.
Looked around for a carved boab nut. Found them but decided that I wouldn't be able to get them back into NZ. Had a bite to eat and then jumped in the truck with Roderick again. Off to find some flowers for Alida as it's there wedding anniversary tomorrow.
Dropped off at the airport and back to waiting for flights again.
