Well its been a interesting experience being back home. Firstly I'm not battling the cold like I thought that I would. I've been asked alot of questions since my return, which has lead me to write this blog today. Was it what I expected? Not at all... There was far less horse/cattle interaction than I had thought that there would be. However the whole experience was amazing. Pic is of Melbourne's Yarra River. So we packed up this morning in Alice Springs. Had another super hot shower, cleaned out the campervan, gave away to other campers any left over food and then went to see if we could find a kangaroo. Maybe my pic of the day should have been the kangaroo as it's the first one that we had seen. Took us ages to find them, apparently we should have been out at the crack of dawn looking for them, as like us they don't enjoy the heat...

So we slept in this morning. Dragged ourselves out of bed about 7:30... Packed up and then headed to the camel farm to purchase a last minute souvenir. Then hit the road. Destination is Kings Canyon. Took us 2hrs to get to the turn off and then Kings Canyon was 166km down that road. Just before the canyon we stopped off at Kings Canyon Station, where there were camels along with food and a gift shop. We found camel burgers on the menu - and yes they are tasty! ...

Pic needs no introduction.Up early, entered the park at 6:30 and off to the sunset viewing platform. Proper cold it was, of course everyone else has the same ideas. Trying to take pics over the heads of those in front of us. Was an amazing experience seeing Uluru in all her splendour. We then started driving around the base. Stopping at a hole - to be fair it's a waterhole when it's been wet, so we just saw a hole. A few rock drawings etc which was cool. Continue...
