A very relaxing start to the day, no rides this morning. So I managed to convince Brom to help me make a stockwhip. The thong was the easy part, plaiting the handle a whole nother level... we kept changing patterns in it, which was too much for my little brain! Still I managed to finish the plait and make the knobbly bit at the end. Will finish it off tomorrow (I think). Have to make both ends and then attach the thong to the handle.
We did a sunset ride in the evening, so we took the horses out to the north paddock and under a grove of Boabs we served up wine/beers/water and for me ginger beer! with nibbles. Was a great evening watching the sunset. The guests then drove home in the truck and we rode the horses home in the dark. A wonderful experience riding under the clear starry skies in the dark through the outback of Aussie. Glad that the horses have better night vision than humans.
Got home to find the camp full. 26 people in one group, that doesn't include the group of 4 or the other 6-10 people camping here, and doesn't include any of the staff. So a pretty full station tonight. Many stories and laughs shared along the way.
Cover pic is of Pluto gazing towards the sunset.
