Another beautiful sunny day in the Kimberly. Saddled up the horses and we headed to the yards to work the cattle, I was back on the reliable Pluto.
After pushing them around for a wee bit, we brought the the cows and calves out of the yards and into the wings. They remained settled so we made the call to take them to the north paddock. This went amazingly well and took them out to the dam, where we left them. This is the 20000 hectare paddock. Will do a ride out that way tomorrow but they will join in with the cattle that are already out there.
Once back at the station I was back to finishing the bull whip... the frustrating Spanish ring knot and Turks head knot. After much trial and error and a lot of help from Brom I completed the whip - much satisfaction in finishing it. Brom had a quick crack of it as the sun went down, I'm reserving that for tomorrow. I've also purchased off of him a mini whip that gets used as a hat band. Made out of kangaroo hide.
Roast pork for dinner with some roast veges. Was delicious.
