Got up and tried taking some sunrise photos, only I had to be back for a 6am breakfast with the guests.
Rode Pluto this morning, neat little horse he is, went down by the King river as it was so still and temperatures were climbing. Got back and then moved a pump from one dam to the the next - had to fill up the water tank by the cattle yards as the mob will be trucked in tomorrow. Spotted the horses soaking in the dam, they are onto it I reckon.
The chestnut Jester is doing well. Had a few bowel motions over night and was seen drinking quite a bit this morning. Looks like he's in the clear and getting better with each day. So good to see, he still gets uncomfortable but really has turned the corner for the better.
Had another sleep in the hammock this afternoon, I think everything is playing catch up as that's two days in a row of an afternoon nap... woke up feeling really bad, shattered, hot and so tired. Had guests organised for an afternoon ride - 3pm. Is crazy hot and so still, however we got 8 horses organised and went for a hack into the north paddock. I rode Jill, it's only her 2nd ride since April 2017, she is a little nervous about you climbing on and off, however other than a few facial grumps she was great to trek on. Stayed at the back of the ride the whole way. Ran into Tom, Bunji and Red in the north paddock. So good to know that Red is still alive - I was thinking he had fed the crocs... thankful that he is still alive.
Had a great chat with some of the guests tonight. I long hot day but also starting to realise my time here is coming to an end. Looking forward to seeing Josiah at Alice Springs on the 15 July.

Natasha Glad you didn't have to witness the demise of one of the horses and the other didn't become croc fooda. Sounds like you might be needing a good hammock for Christmas :D Josiah is really looking forward to heading your way next weekend too. Savour each day.
