Got up around 830am after another sleepless night and it soon started raining so there seemed no need to hurry this morning! We had a very slow breakfast and Nick made the kids pancakes while I phoned a few caravan parks and booked us into places over the school holidays. Eventually we settled down to schoolwork and spent most of the early afternoon on it. Around lunchtime, I left Nick to the education and walked across the road to the shopping centre and bought all Anna's birthday presents while we have access to such close shops. By the time I got back the kids were just finishing their work so we all had a late lunch and then they ran off to play. Nick and I spent the afternoon reading and then around 5pm Nick suggested a walk on the beach but the kids refused to go so I stayed home and cooked dinner while he went off with Katharine and the neighbours. They didn't get very far, standing on the beach watching the sunset, but by the time they got home the rest of us had had dinner and were all tidied up ready for bed! The evening was spent watching a bit of tv and reading.
