Even though the kids woke up early no one was in a rush to get out of bed. We all had a lie in and then a very long drawn out breakfast before heading into Mossman to do school work at the library. We dropped off some washing at the launderette on the way and I kept ducking out to check the dryer - a nice break from the books!! We called in to Woolworths on the way home and stocked up with meals that we could cook over a fire pit in Cooktown tomorrow then headed home. After lunch the kids played down on the beach while Nick and I looked more into where we were planning to stay in Cooktown. The camp was going to cost $50 a night without power or water and was also going to cost a fair bit in petrol driving up there. Eventually we decided to change direction completely and head into the Atherton Tablelands to a park at Walkamin for $34 a night. So we are currently at our furthest destination from WA and tomorrow will begin a very very slow trip home!!
