Totally wanted to go to the jazz festival in Manly this weekend but the weather was really crap! Couldnt believe it how bad it was, reminded me very much of Scotland! Anyway, so I was gonna go with Becky (Liv) on Saturday but we were totally soaked within minutes so we gave up! Sunday I was working so couldnt go which left Monday. However I ended up sleeping in cause me roomies had woken me up a bit when they came in, but never mind! Ended up just going by myself, but I didnt mind cause I enjoy the music so much! Got the ferry over to Manly and it was quite scary but cool cause I could see a storm over Sydney, which unfortunately did make its way to Manly.

Anyway so I did finally get to Manly, but I was so late I only managed to see 2 performances :( I saw a school band who were quite good, but u could tell they werent professional with the solos cause they were reading the music rather than making it sound improvised. I also saw a soul/blues band, who r in this picture. And they were totally amazing. Unfortunately during the performances the storm hit Manly and it was totally tipping it down, as you can see from all the umbrellas in the picture! I was gonna find a pub in Manly that had some jazz stuff on afterwards but I was so wet that I couldnt be bothered wandering about and just ended up gettin the ferry home. And my god, the ferry was soooo scary! Thought i was maybe gonna die cause it was rockin about so much! It was ok tho I made it home alive even tho i was completely soaked and I was glad I went even tho it was only to see a couple of performances!
