Today we went for a cruise around Sydeny Harbour. We started our journey by walking to the harbour through the Botanic Gardens, which are beautiful. As we walked through we saw some fruit bats, cockatoos and a few other exotic birds. It's such a nice park with lovely views across the harbour. Think i'll go back at some point to wander around and chill out. Sydney actually reminds me a bit of my lovely Glasgow with all the different parks dotted around the city.
Coming out of the Botanic Gardens we were right outside the Sydeny Opera House, so took the opportunity to take a few photos. It actually really weird seeing it in real life, and to be honest it was a little bit of a disappointment! Its not even the one building, it looks as though it is split into 3 seperate buildings and it also is not as big and grand as i imagined! However it is still a sight to see!
So we took the ferry from Sydney Harbour across to Watsons Bay (according to Becky, cause i cant quite remember!). There was plenty of time to take lots of photos and it was nice to see Sydney from a different angle. Must admit it was rather cold on the boat, but like the hardy Brits we are, we refused to go inside the boat lol!
When we docked in Watson Bay all you could smell was the fish and chips, so guess what we had for lunch?! Yep fish and chips! I actually really liked it so mayb this could b the start of me likin fish! After lunch we went for a walk around the area. We stopped on a beach for some frisbee and then walked round the coast. We saw some naked people on a nudist beach and the highlight of the whole trip was seeing the light house, which me and Becky reckoned it looked just like the one from the program "Going round the twist" lol!
