So today was the start of my first attempt at surfing!

Was so excited to be finally trying surfing! We drove to Palm Beach for our surfing lesson. This is also where they film Home and Away, but unfortunately we didnt see any people from the cast!

So after donning our ever so sexy wet suits, we were ready for surfing! At this point I'd like to add that that surfing is not as easy or cool and effortless as it looks! The first few waves were quite cool, it was so exillirating to feel yourself riding the wave, well that is until you fall in a feel like ur drowning!

There was one wave that me and Harriette were on, but then when we came to the end of the wave we fell off and couldnt get back on our boards properly! Every time we managed it we got knocked off by the next big wave! We couldnt even manage to swim to the side to escape the big waves! It was rather scary as every time a wave hit u it felt as if u were drowning, but luckily enough each time we did manage to resurface! So as u can imagine after that we were a bit shaken but the guy was just like u need to do more and get over it! So we did go on a few more waves before lunch but felt more scared!

When we stopped for lunch it was actually quite windy and a bit cold. Me and Harriette ended up not going back in after lunch cause we were a bit chicken, but the guys said it wasnt very good because it was too windy!

So that was my first time of surfing. Think i might try it again but get lessons and hopefully i can start on somethin easier, even tho apparently they were quite small waves! Oh and I nearly forgot that I also had one of those tiny wee jellyfish on my board at one point, luckily enough it didnt sing me as they can fill you with a sense of doom and dread....
