We still had the caravan hitched up to the Zuki overnight at Lake Grace, so we had a quick and easy pack-up this morning and drove about 115km northeast to Wave Rock. From Albany we headed north-ish. We did a bit of zig-zagging partly due to poor signage, WA has terrible direction signs, if there is a sign then its right at the intersection where you need to turn, not before, so u-turns with the caravan have been common place, and partly due to the places that we planned to stay in were dives! This morning we packed up and drove out to the old Whaling Station. It was shut down 30 years ago and now operates as a tourist attraction. The Whaling Station is situated in the beautiful Frenchman Bay. We had a look around, we didn't do the tour as it was too expensive, but we had a nice coffee while over looking the bay. Christmas Day, wow where has this year gone! Last night we went looking at Christmas Lights. Kellie knew of one street in Albany with Christmas lights, then we followed a couple of other cars to other streets with Christmas lights till they got suspicious and both pulled over, so we kept driving. Today we drove a short distance to Albany, which is where we will be staying till Boxing Day. We managed to get a lovely spot in a Big4 park only about a kilometre from the town centre, so tomorrow the bikes are coming off the back of the caravan and we're going to use pedal power.
