We left Melbourne this morning and headed east. It has rained lightly for most of the day today after a very warm night. We only wanted a short days travel after a couple of big days with Rob and Cathy. We found a little overnight stop at a 'Free Camp' called Providence Ponds at Wellington, it's only about 2.30pm, but we're all tired so we have decided to pull up here for the night.

Last night we had some problems with a large skylarking Possum! He decided to be a 'drop bear', jumping out of his tree and landing heavily on our awning and putting a large tear in it! I gave him a 'whack' with the broom but he still came back and jumped onto our caravan with a thud. He must get fed regularly so he wasn't afraid to keep hassling us! This morning we visited Rob and Cathy for coffee at their place and then we went together to my niece Christie's place for lunch. It was great catching up with the family and Christie was an awesome host putting on a very yummy lunch! We had a lazy morning in Geelong. After pack up we drove down to Eastern Beach on Geelong's foreshore for a morning walk and a well deserved coffee. Before we left this morning we decided to drive down a track from the campground to have a look at the ocean. We got to a fork in the road, left 4wd only, right return track back to camp, so we went left.
