About 4pm this afternoon we decided to pull up at Coonalpyn, a small town with a caravan park/rest area right next to the town swimming pool. It was funny, we didn't realise that we had to board a barge to take us across the Murray River. On the map and GPS it just showed a road so we thought there must be a bridge across the Murray River, we did not expect a barge. After a lazy morning we all drove out to Birdwood to have a look around the National Motor Museum. Birdwood is only about 32km from Hahndorf, it was such a beautiful drive through amazing farmland and quaint little towns.
