I travelled to Western Australia 33 years ago with my parents and one of the memories I have of that trip are the giant trees at Pemberton! I clearly remember people climbing up one of the monster trees on what seemed like a make-shift ladder around the tree but in reality this is not the case. I didn't climb the tree 33 years ago and I certainly didn't climb the tree now either, heights are not my strong point! It was amazing to see these awesome trees growing so big and tall creating such a beautiful forest. The drive through this beautiful area is spectacular with the road winding through wineries, farmland and forests. The south is definitely Western Australia's best kept secret!
