Last night it was absolutely blowing a gale, very high winds and rain, I had to get up during the night to roll up the awning as I was worried it was going to tear up during the storm! We left Carnarvon this morning and headed for Monkey Mia which is just under 400km south. I'm so amazed at how desolate Western Australia is between places. We only came across two roadhouses and no towns travelling from Carnarvon to Denham, that is about 30km from Monkey Mia! The 'coast' road is mostly nowhere near the coast!
