Today Heli and I are off to a friends house for what will be my last Argentinian Asado. At around 10am we organized our stuff and then made the very long way out to the Buenos Aires Provence - taking two buses and a train and killing just over 3 hours before we arrived. Heli's friends also work in the film industry and were very welcoming. They started the Asado when we arrived and in less then an hour it was ready. By far the best and quickest Asado I have ever had here in Argentina and a little different as we used pork meat instead of the typical beef. We toasted the holiday with some Campari and lemonade and then began eating the meat as it was pulled from the parilla. Chorizo, tomato salad, roast vegetables and back straps came of the BBQ one at a time and a true feast followed for the next hour - everything was cooked to perfection and I for one never wanted the meal to finish. We finished the afternoon with some Mate and then I had a go at slack-lining (walking on a tight rope) which Heli's friends had setup at the house. By 6:30pm we started the long trip back which involved two buses, a train and an hour of waiting. We arrved back at the house by 9:30pm and chatted and made some dinner before Heli had to go out to her friends Birthday party. I watched a few episodes of Breaking Bad and then called it a night.
