Waking up just as the bus rolled into Colonia it was time to go through the boarding process again. Luckily on entering the ferry terminal the currency exchange was open and I was able to change the last of my Uruguayan pesos back to American dollars. As always immigration took quite a while and then I had to line-up behind 500 other people as we slowly loaded onto the ferry. I found a nice reclining seat chucked my headphones in one more time and tried to close my eyes - unfortunately this time it was not so easy to sleep as people were talking, bumping the seats and yelling at their kids. At 8am we arrived and after a very long wait we disembarked, I then headed to the bus terminal where I took a bus back out to Heli's. I arrived at around 9am and then crashed out on the sofa for a few hours. In the afternoon I went and did a big shop to prepare for the holiday weekend, buying calamari and fish for tonight's dinner. Doing the shopping I realized just how expensive Uruguay had been and now what good value Buenos Aires seemed to be. In the evening we relaxed and watched a few movies before some friends and Couchsurfers came around for drinks. Helis friend was hosting 2 girls - a German girl and a Czech girl who are currently travelling in Argentina and both who had some very interesting stories. The German girl had been hit by a falling palm tree in Colombia and it was seriously one of the funniest things I have ever heard - having to curb my laughter until she had left I am sure I will laugh about this for months. We drank wine, chatted and discussed our impressions of Argentina before at around 11pm our new friends had to head off to a party. They wanted us to join them at the party but we had a seafood dinner planned so I started cooking. Luckily I had cleaned all the fish and calamari earlier and cooking basically just involved seasoning the seafood with a little salt, pepper and flour and then frying the calamari whilst the fish slowly baked in the oven. We enjoyed the seafood with salad and some typical Argentinian wine and I made a promise to myself to enjoy all the finer things Argentinia has to offer in my last few days here (wines, alfahores, chocolates, etc).
