Today I was once again up early and at 12pm we had plans to visit Heli's mothers place for lunch. Around 11am Heli's brother came around and we chatted and hung-out for a whole before heading just down the road to her parents house. Heli's Mother along with her boyfriend have a beautiful apartment on the top floor of a new apartment complex - with a balcony that goes around the entire top floor - I felt like I was in a Penthouse. They had prepared a very special lunch and all the best of everything was laid out for me; I was once again blown away by their generosity. A nice bottle of red wine was cracked and out came some fancy cheeses, salamis, hams, cheeses and biscuits all on a huge big dinning table with all the flash chinaware. Heli's mother is a shrink and she had loads of questions for me (in Spanish only) it was really nice as I got to practice my Spanish and tell them all about my travels and life. Lunch was served and it was the very typical Argentinian cuisine; Milanese (beef snitzel), we ate, we laughed, we got lost in translation and enjoyed sharing each others time. For dessert Heli's Mum had prepared a thick chocolate and cream cake but as I couldn't eat it she brought out my favorite sweet here Dulce de batata (sweet potato jam/jelly) - the absolute perfect finish to a wonderful meal. We chatted more and I Ofcourse insisted that I would cook for them one day next week something typical from home. Tonight I have organized to go see Fuerzabruta - similar to Cirque del sole but with an underwater theme; with a few couchsurfing friends. I took the bus into the city and met up with my language exchange friend Lu, we then went and met some of her friends in the park and sate around drinking Mate and enjoying the sunshine. I had told Lu I wanted to buy my own Mate and had been trying to find this silicon Mate I had seen; anyways she had gone and brought me one as a gift - which was incredibly kind of her. It was soon time for the show to start so we went up to the theatre where we met Merlin and went inside. From the word go it was very strange; we (about 300 people) were ushered into this huge room in the dark and the show began with the actors playing these huge drums on stage and screaming this strange song. What happened in the next hour was unlike anything I have ever seen or experienced before; the crowd was constantly moved, shifted and pushed out of the way - making way for the actors and the interactive show. In the middle of the room we had a guy with a spotlight on him running and hanging from the roof, next cams these crazy walls of water and confetti sprayed all over the crowd and these girls fighting and running up the walls. The coolest part of the show was when they lowered this huge see through canvas full of water over the crowd and had the actresses swimming, smashing and banging on the floor of the canvas as we looked from below. The show got weirder and weirder with the actresses coming into the audience and smashing confetti boxes over people's heads and encouraging us all to dance. The actors danced, sung, screamed and acted very crazy all the while whilst machines sprayed the audience with confetti and water. The last part of the show involved this huge sheet being rolled out over the audience and then these huge fans pumping the sheet full of air like a hot air ballon - all the while actresses were under and ontop of it running, jumping and everything else in between. For the finish the group sing and dance on stage and had huge amounts of water spraying from the roof whilst audience members got drenched and danced to the beat. I don't know how much I liked the show to be honest - it was very strange and entertaining but i felt it was over very quickly, a little tacky and maybe not worth the $15 we paid. Everyone else loved it and we decided to go and try to find a bar to sit and chat. We ran into Carola and we sat chatting for a few hours- working out a plan for the night. Lu had invited me to a huge party out near her place at the local sport club but it didn't start until 2am so I decided to call it a night early as tommorow I have been invited to an Asado at Jess's parents house. I took the bus back to Heli's and was back by 11pm, made some dinner and then went to bed around 1am.
