The last few weeks have seen a few people coming and going at our place and we are currently joined in Brisbane by one Miss Lynsey Woods!

The start of the month saw Chris and Kat leaving Brisbane to continue south along the coast. No sooner had they left the sunshine state then Lynsey and Marcus rolled into town in their camper van, so we showed them around South Bank (well, the bars at least) and left them to explore the rest of the city.

After a couple of days Marcus had to head home to the UK, so Lynsey stayed with us while she decided what her next move would be. I was also on the move as I left Hypo Promotions and started a new job with sensible hours at Hunter Premium Funding, where I am now campaign leader for their worker's compensation drive.

On my second day of work I had a late start as we were joined by another soul from home as Natalie Kyle came to stay with us for a while as well. It was great (if a little crowded) to have a couple of friends from home staying with us and we did our best to show them as much of Brissy as we could.

A week later Lynsey got herself some work and moved into a hostel just down the road in West End so we will be seeing her for a while yet, although Natalie left a few days later as she had managed to get some work down in Melbourne. As great as it was to have people around it is also nice now to have the place to ourselves again.

Jen has also started a new job in the last week and she now works at the headquarters for the Queensland police (she takes great pleasure in telling people that she is now a policewoman!!).

Tomorrow we are heading down the Gold Coast for the weekend for a spot of messing around on the beach.
