This morning we awoke feeling pretty rough after our last night in Australia ended in typically debauched fashion as we drowned our sorrows at having to bring our time here to an end. The last few days have been pretty chaotic as we have booked flights home, sold Fergal, paid for flights home (yes, in that order) got our stuff sent home and left the campsite to spend our last night in Australia in a room with proper walls and a ceiling! We arrived in Perth yesterday after the drive from Albany and got ourselves set up in a rather strange campsite a short drive north of the city centre. The cabin and caravan areas of the park seem to be very well maintained but the campers all seem to be sharing one large mud flat with the occasional blade of grass scattered about for good measure. There was little time to do anything by the time we had our home set up as the night drew in, so it was early to bed...

Our Kiwi companions left the campsite a couple of days ago for their drive east and we have spent much of this time on the local beaches and around the town while Fergal has been getting the once over from the mechanics.
