We left Lakefield National Park and headed to the Musgrave Roadhouse for a toilet stop and photo opportunity. From Laura we headed back into the Lakefield National Park. We stopped for a look at the Old Laura Homestead and ran into a Cape York Motorcycle tour. David got all excited and jealous that he wasn't with them. They said they'd seen a croc at Kennedy Bend so we decided to check it out. We headed off from Cooktown along Battlecamp Road. We stopped at Endeavour Falls not far out - nothing special about these ones. We left Cape Tribulation and headed to Cooktown via the Bloomfield track which is a 4WD only track. We thought this would be good practice for the Cape. The track had a few creek and river crossings which we were able to make no worries. David commented that the track was "dryer than a dingo's donger". He says that's how they talk up this way! We drove the short drive to Mossman Gorge where we went on a walk through the Daintree before having a swim in the gorge. There was one particular spot where we shot through between 2 rocks with the fast moving water. The challenge was then to see who could swim back upstream between the rocks. Lots of fish as usual.
