We drove the short drive to Mossman Gorge where we went on a walk through the Daintree before having a swim in the gorge. There was one particular spot where we shot through between 2 rocks with the fast moving water. The challenge was then to see who could swim back upstream between the rocks. Lots of fish as usual. Again this gorge was good, but not as good as Finch Hatton Gorge.
We stopped to eat our sandwiches at a lovely park in Mossman with some amazing mountains behind it. Reminded us how lucky we are to be doing this trip and seeing all these great places.
The drive to Cape Tribulation was windy but scenic. According to the Lonely Planet this is the 2nd best coastal drive after the Great Ocean Road. We set up at Noah Beach campground for three nights. We spent out time walking along the empty beach and along the Maffdja Botanical walk, spent a lot of time reading and also went of a horse ride.
David rode (Big) Zeus and I rode Morgan. It has been a long time since either of us rode a horse and I recall my experiences being not so great. This tour took us along the beach and back through the rainforest. We got to trot and canter the horses. I was pretty nervous about this but thoroughly enjoyed it.
