Our return down the Cape was much quicker than up. We thought about going to Weipa but the shortcut road wasn't great. We met a guy at Bramwell Junction were we had stopped for lunch who just got stuck in a muddy creek crossing on this road to Weipa. We left Lakefield National Park and headed to the Musgrave Roadhouse for a toilet stop and photo opportunity. We continued up the Old Telegraph Line to Coen where we stopped for lunch and picked up a couple of supplies. Our aim for the day was the Archer River Roadhouse. We made it here about 3.30pm.
