We left Lakefield National Park and headed to the Musgrave Roadhouse for a toilet stop and photo opportunity. We continued up the Old Telegraph Line to Coen where we stopped for lunch and picked up a couple of supplies. Our aim for the day was the Archer River Roadhouse. We made it here about 3.30pm. Set up camp and then wandered over to a group staying in the motel rooms that all had motorbikes out the front. Turns out this group aren't a tour group just a group of friends and as we walked up one of the ladies, Barb, called David by his name. David being David could not remember Barb's name but knew they had worked at the BOM together. We were invited to join the group and sat around to have a drink and a chat for a couple of hours. After dinner we returned to the group with our laptop and last year's Australian Safari DVDs as one of the guys in the group, Geoff Ohlman, had done that safari in his Pajero. This group were mostly very experienced riders who'd one Australian Championships at some point in their younger days. David was very impressed.
The next morning we farewelled the riders before heading off ourselves.
