From Laura we headed back into the Lakefield National Park. We stopped for a look at the Old Laura Homestead and ran into a Cape York Motorcycle tour. David got all excited and jealous that he wasn't with them. They said they'd seen a croc at Kennedy Bend so we decided to check it out. We chatted to some people camped at Kennedy Bend but they said they hadn't seen the croc that the bike riders had pointed out to them and us. Will have to wait another day before we see one.

We set up camp at Kalpowar Crossing. It was a good campground with toilets and cold showers. Whilst here we met up with two couples who had camped next to us at Eungella. They have matching Kedron off-road caravans and 4WDs with tinnies on the roof - funnily enough they haven't know each long meeting in a campground in NT and freaking out over their matching set ups and how match they had in common. They moved on after one night at Kalpowar setting up at Hann Crossing for a couple of weeks where they planned to do a lot of fishing.

Whilst at Kalpowar we went on a small walk (we couldn't find the entry to the 4km track!), drove around the area and did a bit more motorbike riding. I continued on with my reading frenzy and even David managed to relax long enough to get some reading in.
