As lovely as Vitter is we were fed up with staying on an exposed berth so we have sailed 9 miles to Wiek on Rugan, a much more protected harbour also 10 euros a night less, we need a few days before joining the rally to finish of some boat jobs. We have been on 2 long cycle rides 22 and 11 miles, long for Brompton’s anyway Rugan has cycle routes everywhere so it’s a great place to cycle.
We visited a Stone Age circle, a lovely seaside village called Vitt and the top of the islands Cap Arcona. The next ride was jut round the bay to the next village Dranske. There is a bridge in the middle of the harbour that was used for loading ships in the 1920s, it’s been recently restored and is a great place to see the sun sets.
