We left Hiddensee this morning heading towards Poland, there are 3 bridges that have to open they only open a few times a day so timing is important. The first night we anchored below Stralsund in Glewilzer Wiek taking the bridge opening at 12.20 at Stralsund. Day 2 we needed to get through the Wolgast Bridge but on route we stopped for lunch and a swim as it was so hot. We anchored in Krumminer Wiek for the night and another swim. Day 3 we had to get past the Zecherin bridge 12.45 opening we arrived at 11.30 as we read it opened at 11.45. We anchored in the river and enjoyed another swim, by this time we could see a few storm clouds building. Just past this bridge is the remains of the Karmin bridge, the derelict lifting span now permanently raised was an old rail bridge but was bombed during WW2, no trace of the old spans can been seen. Ueckermünde was our intended destination, we managed a good sail across the lake before anchoring of the beach for the third night in a row. The storm came and we had rain for only the second time this year but it was only light, the centre of the storm was quite a few miles away. This was a quite rocky night as there were some small waves. We had been on board for 3 days without stepping ashore, we had covered almost 100 nm, swam every day, seen white headed Eagles fishing, deer on the beach, top temperatures of almost 30 degrees water temperatures 24 degrees.
