We had thunder and lightning in the night but luckily not to close, when your on a sailing yacht in lightning you feel better if there are other yachts close by with taller masts. We were the only yacht in the lake so were very pleased when it had passed. We moved just 3NM up the river today and found a fantastic anchorage called Grosse Holzwiek there were at least another half a dozen boats. Today was hot and sunny. We blew up the dingy and went ashore but past the lovely strip of beach the wood was not accessible with cliffs and dense vegetation. It is also an owl sanctuary. We walked along the beach as far as we could noticing on our way the amount of plastic, a current hot topic so we decided to pick some up. We started with small bits then we found some plastic sacks, we ended up collecting all the plastic on the beach almost too much for us to get back in the dingy with it. When we got back we had our first swim of the year, the water was 20.4 degrees
