Two days in Stralsund for the start of the CA Rally. We had a great sail down from Wiek in 20 knots of wind and arrived comfortably in time for the evening fish meal on the key side. The next morning we had a walking tour of the town, weather good mid 20s, unlike the U.K. who are having floods. I was able to get a replacement gear cable for my bike after snapping it on Rugan. All the Rally boats were festooned with flags, a number with EU flags flying. Surprisingly enough some rally boats still want Brexit even though it will stop their enjoyment by restricting their sailing in Europe but like most Brexititeers they don’t have a good reason for their position, one even suggesting we could be a tax haven and sell ourselves to the USA. I cannot understand the thinking behind these old people’s thoughts, one in particular wasn’t bothered because he is almost ready to give up sailing and doesn’t seem to care about anybody else.
