We are now on the beautiful island of Hiddensee in Vitte harbour. W have had 2 days on passage stopping for nights in Warnemünde and in Barhott we had a good walk round Warnemünde and enjoyed a nice meal by the river, we stayed in the huge marina well out of the town, not the best place we have been too. We met up with Des and Anne on Geneva, sailing in company with them for 2 days. They have gone up the Island to the next harbour so may well catch up again soon. We are rafted up alongside another Fehmarn boat. Lapwing. Keith and Pat. This Island is a bit like the Isles of Scilly , no cars but bicycles and horses. Day 2 we took the Bromptons along the cycling route to the top of the Island then spent all day walking on the hills, climbing to the top of the lighthouse Dornbush built in 1887 this is 27.5 m high 102 steps to the top. From up here we could see Denmark’s white cliffs and numerous wind farms
