We left Holland at 0300 this morning to catch the tide to Borkum in Germany, we had a good tide all the way. Max wind speed only10 kns but with the tide we were covering the ground at 6 to 7 kns. We arrived about 10.00 into the old German navy harbour, not the nicest place but a good berth for the night. The big windmill was making a noise all the time, though it could not be heard in the boat as I needed an afternoon sleep. We walked around the harbour area, but not enough time to explore as the winds are still fair so another early start looks likely for tomorrow. Brenda took advantage of the time to do three weeks worth of clothes washing.
