Another great summer sailing 61 days on the water, 913 NM sailed. Only 3 nights at Anchor

We left the yard today for a 30 mile sail to the German mainland we were late leaving as we had an agent round to photograph the boat. Bunny Bee is up for sale. We are planning on buying the yacht in the photo Arcona 40 DS if all goes to plan. It’s been a cold fit out this year but warmer weather is forecast.

We arrived back at the yard safely on Monday. It had taken us 2 days instead of one because of major road works and traffic. The boat was exactly as we left it only covered in dust. We got her out of the shed and washed her down yesterday. We have more work this year having to refit the renovated gearbox and heating system. After finally getting back to the island we had to wait a day as a gale blew through 41 knots of wind. We left this morning for Denmark 50 nm away. It is a lovely sunny day but still blowing a F6 gusting 7 with a forecast of it dropping by lunch time, the wind is behind us so good speeds, but after the gale there were big seas running. We made Klintholm in 10 hours only to find most of the CA yachts there that left on Tuesday. We all met up on one of there boats ...

I have now been out for over a week working on the boat in preparation for the upcoming season, I am on my own as Brenda has stayed at home to attend the funeral of our good Freind Dennis Hill who with his wife Gill sailed the Gota canal with us last year.
