This year we have today joined the CA Rally about 20 other boats for a cruise in company from here I Stralsund, Kröslin, wolgast, Ueckermünde then ending in Swinoujscie Poland. We started off in Stralsund with a meal in the fish restaurant followed by a guided walking tour of the old town in 30 degrees heat. Onwards to Kröslin and a visit to the V1 and V2 rocket museum at Peeenmunde The next day we were taken by bus to Hanse factory and given a comprehensive tour of there facility, after we got back to the marina a group barbecue in the evening. Wolgast was just an overnight visit although we were made very welcome and given a town flag for each vessel. Next was Ueckermünde for 2 nights with a meal out and drinks on the dock. We then left Germany for Poland, just half a day away It was planned that we would go into the town in s long line, this worked better on paper than in practice. Some yachts left to go elsewhere but the rally finished with a meal in the local restaurant. As the Rally broke off with boats going in all directions, some crews flying home others sailing we and a few others stayed till the weekend so we could spend the evening celebrating Keith and Pats Golden wedding anniversary.
