Why did we sail ? Rain, hail, wind, see cover photo 35 knots in a squall F 8 for a few moments. The forecast was not as bad as we got. 30 NM to Stralsund. We had 2 reefs and just a tiny bit of Genoa out and we still got knocked around, with water over the rails, water into the front cabin, we have an air vent on the hatch and it only lets water in when submerged, anything not bolted down was on the floor, but we arrived safely with no breakages, just a wet bed and some tidying up to do.
