About 100kms this morning into Norseman to find a church. Came across a Church's of Christ missionary service at 10.00am. It was really interesting, had to wait almost an hour for them to pick up Aunty Mary out at the mission to come in, it was a good time to get to know them a bit. On the road this morning through Balladonia and only around 200km to Fraser Range today. We stopped at Newman Rock which we found fascinating, particularly as it had a fair bit of water in the rock pool. We had a good walk around, Rosemary photographing and really interested in the plants, surprising how many are flowering. Then onto the park. A really interesting day today. We turned in to go to the Eyre Bird Sanctuary and saw a sign saying no dogs so turned around. Just after turning around some lads came along in three utes and asked why we turned around and we explained about the dog. One of them said not to worry about it, he's on the local station and often takes his dog through to the beach, just leave her in the van at the Observatory, they were heading through to the beach to fish. In a camp about 100kms west of Mundrabilla tonight, not a bad spot. The highlight of the day was probably crossing the WA border checkpoint. After much discussion between Rose and I on what could and couldn't be taken across, there was a very kind man at the checkpoint.
