We went to Cape Leeuwin lighthouse for the tour starting at 9.00. It was great to go up the tallest lighthouse on mainland Australia and on one of the three big capes of the world. Amazing what the early lighthouse keepers had to do. We had a good look around the old houses and the weather station, a couple of good photos.
We then went back past Augusta to Jewel Cave and did the tour, a very impressive cave with a good tour guide.
Back to Augusta, went into the Yacht Club then followed a 4wd track back to the road, a very narrow track which ended up at a gate, fortunately someone had made a track around the gate.
Had lunch on the river and a look around, a very pretty place on an excellent river with access to the sea.
Then to Margaret River to check out a place to leave Ellie tomorrow.
Drove to this spot at Chapman Pool, a camp in the bush $14, just toilets and a camp in the bush. Not nearly as good as last night.
