Friday morning went to the visitors centre, then went for a drive around the place and checked out the new marina development it will be a very nice setup when finished. Quite surprised about so many houses being built with galvanized iron cladding even the Novatel Hotel, in years past this was just for tin sheds.
We both had our hair cut by a lady in the caravan park saving about $30 from getting it done down the street. She did a very good job.
Then went out to dinner at the Italian Restaurant nearby, we were very disappointed with our meals.
This morning we left Ellie with a lady for the day, we were given her contact from the information centre, a really nice lady, Kellie, and were very happy to leave Ellie there. We then went around the cape into the national park right down to Yardie Creek. On the way we stopped at the information centre and booked a tour of Yardie Creek, $25 each, it left at 11am and went for about an hour. We enjoyed and were particularly impressed with the black footed rock wallabies.
Then made our way up the coast stopping at Turquoise Bay where Rose had a snorkel, she said it was very good with many big fish.
Then stopped at Tantabiddi Boat ramp in time to watch all the different people returning from their tours. Lots of smiles on their faces, mostly they had been out swimming with the whale sharks, they say it's an incredible experience. We had been hearing the spotter planes talking on the two way for days as we had been traveling along the coast.
Back to pick Ellie up at about 5 then went about 15 k's south of Exmouth and are stopped in a truck stop with a heap of back packer vans and cars.
