Drove up to the Five Rivers lookout this morning, a fantastic view out over Wyndham and the gulf, a very different landscape.
Then drove out onto the mudflats, there is meant to be a track that goes around the range coming out south of the town but the mud was getting a bit sticky in places so we turned around and went back. Made ourselves a coffee at the boat ramp before heading off. The water is terrible, really muddy you can't see an inch into it and you have the croc concerns too. Not my choice of places.
Not far south we turned off the road onto a track to go Parry's Lagoon. A beautiful wetlands with many varieties of birds. We drove up to a lookout and then just drove by a hide, we couldn't stop as strictly no dogs. We kept going on a sand track and eventually came out on a gravel road. We came across lots of cattle.
We followed the Ord River around til we came to this Black Rock Falls, it's a really good spot. We can see through the bush that we have one neighbor tonight. It looks like a back packer type van, they have a fire going. It's very peaceful.
