Went to the Village market this morning, a pretty normal sort of a country market. Rose was really impressed with the ladies selling Doughnuts for $1.00 each, we checked the equipment they were using and figured we would try and buy that setup when we get home, it would be really good for money raising events. Went down to the beach this morning with fishing gear in hand, went for quite a walk but couldn't find a decent spot to fish. Threw the line a few times but no success, kept getting snagged. Later in the morning we headed back to Esperance and booked into the Bushland Caravan Park ($22.00). Then went shopping, I had broken the tip off my rod so went to the fishing shop in the Woolworths complex. The guy in there took my rod and fixed it with a new tip all for $5...

Up before 6 this morning, had some breakfast and headed around onto the rocks for a fish. It had been really windy around here last night but beautiful and calm this morning. No luck with the fish though, used berly and everything. After a while we drove around to the beach on the other side of the point and went to the toilet. Went to church this morning at Grace Chapel on a farm run by Teen Challenge about 30kms out of Esperance. What an amazing place, they have about 20 males and 20 females in rehab on the farm. They seemed to be mainly low 20's and it was obvious that all had been in a very low place, drug or alcohol addicted. The road in is called Freedom Boulevard, very fitting as these kids are set free in here. It is a very impressive setup out in the middle of nowhere on farm ...

Off this morning heading south to Esperance. We were impressed by the small towns, stopped at Salmon Gums for morning coffee and read all about the early settlers, how they took up and cleared 1,000 acre blocks and then lots of them were wiped out by drought, tough times.
