Went into Mandurah and had a coffee and went to the information centre, it's a huge very nice place. Organized a place for Ellie to stay while we go into Perth. Caught a couple of small Herring just on dark, great spot to fish. Camped the night parked in the marina pretty nice spot. Then up before day break to do some fishing, got 4 more Tommies, 3 of them huge by eastern states standards.

Had a good night at Balingup, scrubbed up and washed the van before leaving. Then on to Donnybrook, a really interesting place. Went for a walk across the river, boards tell you stories about the indigenous and their way of life as you go, was good. Bought a heap of fruit from the orchards, cheap and fresh. Then towards Mandurah stopping at a camp right on the water, $10.00 no shower but a nice spot.

Checked out Bridgetown this morning, it was interesting as I had done all the research into a Tyre Service we bought here when I was working for Pacific Dunlop. Went to a Blessing of the Roads function for Easter safety held in the Memorial Park. Really good to see the school kids sing a Jesus song for the gathering, three churches were represented. Then moved on to a little place called Green Bushes, a town revolving around a mine, originally tin now Tantalum....

Went to the Baptist Church in Manjinup this morning, a good message on inviting people to church. We met a young Canadian couple, she was working 6 days a week picking apples and he was working for DEC burning off the Forrest under growth. An interesting couple, were very friendly. Drove down to Pemberton through huge tree forests, then back up to Bridgtown. Picked up a hitch hiker along the way, a Kiwi living in Bridgetown.

Went for a walk along the beach and a couple of blocks around the caravan park this morning. Then headed off to a spot in the bush out of Nannup to see the Rally cars on the dirt. Had lunch while waiting for the first cars. Amazing how close you get to them as they fly around the corner. We then decided to head into Nannup where they all had their workshops and back up teams.
