We were all awake early again this morning thanks to Tally and because we were moving on we got up and started preparing to leave. While Nick got the kids breakfast I went to the launderette and put the washing on and it was all dry by the time we were ready to leave around 10am. Dot came over to say goodbye and gave everyone a big kiss -including Nick!! And then we hit the road. It took us 2.5 hours to get to Nyah and we drove through Swan Hill along the way - somewhere we had planned to explore but changed our mind after driving though!! At Nyah the recreation reserve offered camping for a donation so we found a spot away from everyone else and set up camp. The Murray River ran along the back of the reserve but we couldn't see it and access wasn't easy. The whole reserve was a bit of a dust bowl and with very little to see in the area that interested us, we decided to move on in the morning. We spent the afternoon reading and planning our route back into WA while chasing the shade and after dinner Nick walked the kids down to the park for a play before bed - an early night for all of us!
