Happy Birthday Al - 8 today!! xx We were woken up in the middle of the night by really strong winds that seemed to be pulling the awning off the caravan - it felt like we would take off at any minute! Nick nearly got up to pack it away but there was so much stuff underneath it that would get soaked if it rained. We eventually got back to sleep and woke up around 730 am to rain - even Tally didn't want to venture outside! We had our coffee in bed and didn't get up until after 9! Once everyone had had breakfast we walked into town and did some more washing then walked around the houses while we waited for it. On the way home we bought dinner for the next few nights as businesses are doing shorter hours over the next few days due to the Melbourne Cup - it's the wrong time to be in Victoria!! We spent the rest of the morning doing schoolwork and it was a real slog after so many late nights and a couple of days off! The weather remained awful; really windy and cold with patches of rain and no one wanted to be outside. We spent the day huddled inside watching movies and reading and then had an awesome roast lamb for dinner where every last scrap was eaten!! The wind settled down in the early evening so we took the dog for a walk and then came back and had showers and an early bed as everyone was shattered.
