On Tuesday, our program did an activity where we went to a cooking class and learned how to make Paella from a professional chef. It was so much fun!
Paella is an extremely popular/traditional dish all over Spain, Each region has its special type, but basically they are all the same. It is a big mis of rice, vegetables, meat (seafood, chicken, beef, or anything else) along with various types of seasonings, the most famous one being Safron. Lots of people make paella different ways by changing the type of meat/vegetables that it includes.
Our class made chicken Paella and it was soo delicous! I was happy we got to learn how to make it because I love it so much I would hate it if I could never make it once I got back to The United States. :)
After we cooked our masterpiece, we got to sit down and eat it together, and even got to have dessert afterward which was a delicous flahn made my the chef. Yum. :)
