The second stop of the weekend for our group was Sevilla. Once again we had beautiful weather the entire time! We arrived at night in time for dinner and then we went out on the town. :) Saturday morning we had a tour of Parque Maria Luisa, Real Alcazar (the old palace that is actually older than the Alhambra in Granada and the two of them have a lot of the same architectural style), and the cathedral of Sevilla. All of it was spectacular.
After the cathedral we climbed up 34 ramps to get to the top of Giralda towr. There were ramps instead of stairs because they queen rode her white horse up to the top of it. When we were walking up the ramps we definitely were wishing that we had our own white horses too!!
Next we went to the hotel for a quick nap and then went downtown for lunch. We ate at a delicious sea food restaurant that had a beautiful view of the river. (I had to put my sunscreen on halfway through our meal). Then we walked across the river were walking along the river walk when we ran into Troy, my friend that I go to The Univeristy of Iowa with! He is studying in Sevilla this semester so it was really awesome to see him. :)
We walked by Torre de Oro (Tower of Gold) becuase I had bought a painting of it and wanted to see it in person. It was beautiful. Next, we went paddle boating on the river with our mojitos. It was so much fun and relaxing!! FInally, we stopped and got ice cream before heading back to our hotel for dinner. We went to a couple bars that night and then slept so we could make our wake up call for the next morning!!
