Friday 9th October - The Walk to the Cable Car?

We headed away from Liceu Station and headed towards where we thought the Cable Car Station was. Our biggest problem is that the maps only name the main roads.
Anyway we saw a sign on one of the many corners pointing to Montjuic so we set off uphill past a few minor roads and were looking at a map when an old guy gestured that he could help us. Between the three of us not being able to converse he told us to follow him and he would show us were to go.

Follow is hardly the right word as our dawdle was faster than his walk but eventually we got down to a corner that we had walked past earlier. This was the Metro Station for Paral-lel and unbeknown to us there is a funicular that heads up the mountain underground that meets up with the cable car station. We thanked the Old Guy and proceeded downstairs and along to get on the funicular.

At the top we found the Cable Car Station and exchanged out voucher and got in the next cable Car up the mountain. I was under orders not to move and the cable car got to a half way stage and slowed and then hooked onto another line that went off at right angles to our first ride up.
