Thursday 8th October - Gaudi's House and the Man Himself.

We paid our €7 for old people and went into the house that Gaudi lived in almost till his death in 1926. Gaudi moved into the house with his father and niece in 1906 and after the death of them both Gaudi continued to live there and the Carmelite Nuns assisted him with his domestic chores.

The house has three floors and such was Gaudi's attention to detail he designed all of the tiles for both floors and ceilings and no two areas have the same tiles or shapes and he designed all of the furniture for the house too.

The last twenty years of his life he devoted much of his time to the Sagrada Familia and such was his devotion to his work he moved into the church workshop in order to supervise the construction first hand.
