Friday 4th September - Lunch Back at the dock we moved from the boat to a cafe for a sandwich and a salad and of course a beer. Friday 4th September - Streets of Dubrovnik Right at the bottom of the wall steps there is the tall dome of Onofrios Fountain that people were filling water bottles at the numerous spouts. The water flows into the city via an aqueduct from the Dubrovnik River 12kms away. The Fountain was completed in 1444 and was destroyed by an earthquake in 1667. Friday 4th September - Wall Walk Half way around we came upon this lovely roof cafe so we stopped for coffee and found that here unlike Split they used either the Euro or the Kona and quoted either as a matter of fact. Friday 4th September - Dubrovnik We were up early and caught the shuttle into the Old own of Dubrovnik where we were dropped at the Pile Gate which is one of two gates into the Old City. Thursday 3rd September -Cathedral & Tower We had sort of rushed through the palace and we left J&P to meet up later. Jan bought a charm for her bracelet and I bought a new pair of sun glasses. We went back in through the Iron Gate and I left Jan to look at all of the coral necklaces whilst I went and paid to go into the Mausoleum of Diocletian and the Tower.
